The first patient through the door of the ER was Furret with a badly broken front paw that looked like it had been crushed by a large boulder. The whimpers of pain emanating from the Pokemon filled the room as Joyce and Dr. Jackson both rushed over to help. “It's going to be alright.” Joyce said in as calming a manner as possible under the circumstances as she started an IV in the back of the Furrets good paw. “You're going to feel a little pinch and....there all done.” She started a saline drip along with a bit of morphine to ease the pain he was obviously in. “Now just relax. Slow deep breaths. Dr. Jackson was not nearly as tactful as he examined the broken appendage. “He appears to have multiple fractures. Prep for a CT scan.” With that he moved on to the next patient that was rushed through the door as Joyce glared at his back. Still she knew that Jackson was somewhat right. Tick, tick tick. The sound of the second hand on the wall clock in front of her was driving Joyce mad as she tried to focus on the test in front of her. It wasn't all that difficult. For starters it was multiple choice which to most Pokemon would have been a relief. However, in the medical field tests like these were in reality a trap. The questions were often worded in such a way that several answers could be correct. But only one was more correct than the others. The result was that many med students spent a great deal of time agonizing over each and every question to ensure that they had made the right choice. Fortunately for Joyce she had been through many of these kinds of tests and years working as a nurse had given her insight that no med student or even first year intern would have. The questions were easy enough for her to figure out despite their somewhat ambiguous wording and she was almost done despite having only used twenty of the thirty minutes allotted to her. But
